Accomplishments

Corporate Virtualization & Consolidation
This project introduced UA to the benefits of a private virtual cloud platform. My project team successfully migrated nearly 100 servers from legacy physical iron to the new VMware private cloud environment with minimal impact on production and loss of productivity. The end result was a robust, highly manageable platform of best of breed hardware coupled with resilient software and support services. We increased performance, delivered measurable ROI, illustrated real value, and laid the groundwork for the IT road maps which would later align with UA's mission and vision.

Corporate Private Cloud Architecture & Migration
To support Forward Industries' efforts to relocate from South Florida to Santa Monica, CA I spearheaded efforts to consolidate Forward's physical iron into a new hosted and managed cloud platform - converting the company's existing capital investments into lower cost operating expenses. . The project eliminated all legacy physical hardware and software and incorporated a high performing current revision, managed infrastructure with global MPLS connectivity, managed security, and global VoIP.

Manufacturing facility expansion project
Double UA's manufacturing capacity by building a second factory. The building was a 40,000 square foot shell which my IT Operations team had to step in to manage all aspects of the build; from physical construction of walls and offices to electric, low voltage, and disaster recovery, the project was delivered ontime and within budget. The project was managed and coordinated from South Florida and I took a team on site to oversee completion of construction as well as to stand up the network, connect the two factory buildings, and verify corporate compliance and loss prevention processes were in place ahead of an annual inventory audit. the project proved we could quarterback large initiatives in the US and execute with pinpoint precision in a third-world country with limited resources and a tight implementation timeframe.

Recommendations
“I am pleased to offer a recommendation for Brian Yablon. While I was a Senior Account Manager at CDW, I worked with Brian at 3 different companies over a 10 year period. Brian’s vast knowledge of the servers, virtualization and storage, makes him an exceptional asset to companies looking for a seasoned veteran in the datacenter. He has a tremendous sense of integrity and work ethic. Both are important to him and both contribute to the success in his previous roles.”
